Helicopter Glacier Trek
On this 2-hour hike, there is an early emphasis on learning the proper use
of the mountaineering gear and understanding the glacier features and hazards
so that more remote areas of the glacier can be accessed. Your hike is
interspersed with fun and interesting explanations of the glacier and the
surrounding environment. No experience is necessary, though participants should be
prepared for physical activity. Participants should be comfortable hiking approximately two
miles over uneven and sometimes steep terrain.
Minimum age: 12 years
Duration: Approximately 4 1/4 hours including transportation to and from our heliport, safety briefing and gearing up, helicopter flight and a 2-hour hike on the glacier
All you need to bring is a camera, a willing attitude and an appetite for adventure!
