When the glaciers of the Juneau Icefield get a winter covering of
snow that
makes landing and hiking on them impractical we head even
farther north to
the Alaska gulf coast communities of Valdez and Cordova.
Here the large amounts
of snow received in the rugged and remote Chugach
Range have made this area
a world class heli-skiing destination.
For the last several years NorthStar has flown for Points North Heli Adventures in Cordova, Alaska
and for Valdez Heli-Camps in Valdez, Alaska. These areas have been the playgrounds for recreational, extreme, and Olympic class skiers and snowboarders.
NorthStar, working with Points North has been featured in several Warren Miller ski movies.
